I am trying to create a static report using Visual Studio 2005 Report Server Project. &nbsp;My datasource is an Analysis Services cube. &nbsp;<br />

I wanted to create some Calulated Member fields to use at the reporting level, but when I drag in the 6 Dimensions I need, with the 4 or 5 Calculated Members, the cube just hangs. &nbsp;I let it query for a few hours before killing the process. &nbsp;<br />

These are simple calculations, ie, Col1 + Col2 + Col3, or &quot;CASE WHEN product = 'GAS' THEN 0 ELSE value END. &nbsp;<br />

When I take out the calculated members and drag in the cube's measures, its super fast, maybe 1 second to display the report.<br />

Is is not recommended to use Calculated Member fields with a report built on Analysis Services? &nbsp;Has anyone successfully put in a Calculated Member field in a report with an Analysis Services datasource?<br />
