i've used it before...isn't there a character entity that will position the browser to a given table row?
it might be considered a CSS attribute....

From my understanding of your question, you want to focus the cursor onto a specific table cell or textbox when the page loads.
You do this with javascript similar to below:

onload="document.myform.textbox1.focus()"

If I have interpreted your question incorrectly then please clarify.

The other option I see with your question is you want to set an anchor point in the page.

See this link for coding:

i want to position the browser at a certain row in a <table>.
in this case, the user selects a row from a <table> ...goes to an update page....and when returns...the browser position(centers) on the row that was just updated.

i'm positive there an attribute(it might a CSS thing) that is used on the <tr> tag that centers the browser on that table row.

A simple way is to have an anchor point for every row in the table, then when you return you can tell it to go to the specific anchor point.
