Cisco to Xtreme to Cisco VLAN Multi VLAN Trunking

I have an Extreme Alpine 3804 Core switch with a working and connected Cisco 2960G connected to a trunked port with 2 VLANS.  This switch works. Added a 2 3750G (stacked) switch and basically mimicked the 2960G config and connected it to a identical trunked port on the Extreme Alpine and can ping from default vlan but not VLAN 40.  I will attach the pertinent configs of each switch.  In short I need the default and vlan 40 working from both Cisco switches through and to the Alpine Core switch.  I even worked with TAC for 3 hours to no avail yet.

The Cisco configs look fine. It's not a big deal, but you've got two VLAN interfaces on the 2960 and only one will ever be active so there's no need to have both.

Does VLAN 40 exist on the 3750? (show vlan brief).

Other than that, if I had to guess (which I do), I'd say there's something wrong with the Extreme Apline 3804 config.

Obviously VLAN 40 exists on the 3750. ;-)

I don't see anything immediately wrong with the Alpine config

I got this working with some help from TAC.  The biggest part of the solution is you must change the Cisco 3750G to use spanningtree pvst in order to coreectly send your dot1q information in a format the Xtreme switch can understand.  The on the extrem you must define the port that is connected to the Cisco 3750G as a tagged port on the fefault vlan and also define it on any other vlan you have created on the Extreme switch for it to be able to access it.

Thanks.
