Need Help Recovering Offline Files

We use my documents redirection and this morning one user apparently synchronized with our file server (what she told me) but now has lost many excel and word documents that she worked on just in the last couple of days. I found files from two days ago but everything she worked on yesterday is missing. Is there any good software for recovering these files locally or on the network? I looked on the file server and they are nowhere to be found!

You don't have a tape backup of the file share? How about volume shadow copy, is that running her local machine or the file server? I would start with those and go from there.

No tape. Where exactly is the volume shadow copy located on her computer?

Basically if you right click the drive that has shadow copy enabled there is a Shadow copy tab. Here is a great article on shadow copy, scroll down it shows you how to recover, hope this helps.
