IIS7: application server or web server

I am setting up windows 2008 web server with IIS7.

It is asking if I want to set it up as an Application server with web server support, or as a Web Server.

I use this box to run web applications only.

Which option should I choose?

What does it mean to be an application server?

If your web applications are programmed in JSP, ASP, PHP or any other server side then all you will need is IIS which is the web server.  Application server can be a number of things...here is a list: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Application_server
