o need to delete all messages in smtp queue in exchange 5.5 sp3

o need to delete all messages in smtp queue in exchange 5.5 sp3. I have 400 or more messages from 3-12-08 plus hundreds from today. I have tried to disable and delete the messages but this doesn't work. I am able to send outbound email with no delay but can't get any inbound email.

Check the EXCHSRVR\IMCData\Out\ folder.  I believe that is the location Exchange 5.5 stores it's outbound emails.

Stop the Internet Mail Connector service.
Move the messages to a temporary location out of that folder.
Start the Internet Mail Connector service.

That should clear up your outbound queue.

If you are looking for Inbound message, I believe it is in EXCHSRVR\IMCData\In.

I do not have an IMCdata folder anywhere on my server. I am using SBS 2000 with Exchange 2000

Oh.  Sorry.  The title and text of your question mentions Exchange 5.5 with sp3.

your right i am sorry about that. I have done an smtp reinstall process and now i am reinstalling exchange

I now have a sbs 2003 that can't get inbound email as well
