"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

under your database folder in SSMS, there is a Database Diagrams folder...you can create one there.  OR, you can use Microsoft Visio.

one more question:

looks like i don't need to draw a ERD if the table has been created?

is that possible that i draw the ERD first, then create the table later?

An ERD is always a "must have" design document, whether the project is new or in production.  There are tools that will create your database and table creation scripts from ER diagrams.  Oracle offers some with their database, I know there are others.  Maybe someone will post some current tool names.
