This error appears when trying to export to pdf in a web form with crystal reports. My last changed to the server was an SP4 for Sql Server 2000 installation.

This sounds like a typical issue of some crystal dll is not like the others, being unregistered, upgraded or downgraded.

-----------Found this on tek-tips------------------------------------------

It took some fishing, but I found it...

It was an old version of the crxf_pdf.dll in the C:\WINNT\CRYSTAL directory.

For some reason there was a newer version in in the C:\WINNT\CRYSTAL\BACKUP directory.

I installed the newer DLL the C:\WINNT\CRYSTAL directory, and the PDF export now works.
