User account deleted in Active Directory but Mailbox exists within ESM - need to reconnect new user account to existing mailbox

I have a user account which was deleted within Active Directory....that's creepy enough but the good news is her mailbox still exists within ESM.  I need to recreate the user account and connect it to the existing mailbox.  Can this be done?

Yes Server 2003 with Exchange 2003 is being used.
Within ESM, how do I connect the mailbox to the account?

Standby....
Go into the Mailbox container.  If the Mailbox does not have a red icon, Right Click the Mailbox Folder and "Run Cleanup".

Once you have the red icon on the Mailbox, Right Click and Reconnect.

Rick, that worked - thanks.

I am still unable to login to the users mailbox via OWA - do you know if there is replication time involved or did I miss something?
Not sure why that would happen, do you have more than 1 DC?  If so go to Sites manually replicate.
