Need to burn .gho image file to DVD.
This should be an easy question for for most.....Need to burn .gho image file to DVD. Server has no burner. Could file coruption occur if sending from server to a computer in the network that has a burner???? or is there a better way... please HELP!!
It should be fine to burn from a network burner, but a better solution would be to copy the file to that machine first, then burn it locally. Less chances of errors that way.
i'd copy, before i would cut. then delete your old image.
we used to have a "ghost server" setup, but recently switched to Acronis. they have some awesome products. you can store all images locally to the server, and push them out to client on a regular interval, or boot a 75mb CD image on the computer you'd like to image, and restore it that way... its a seriouly bad A$$ product!!!

I normally create the image on a networked mapped drive or a local USB external drive, and copy it to wherever there is a burner.
I hope this helps !
