My computer (using windows 2000 professional) infected virus Virus.Win32.Alman.a. I used Kaspersky antivirus to scan. The infected files were disinfected. Howerver the file c:\winnt\linkinfo.dll can not disinfected and delete. After restart the computer. I used kaspersky antivirus scanned it again. But discover the file which infected virus win32.Alman.a again and disinfected again. That mean the problem can not solve thoroughly.
So My question is how to remove the virus win32.Alman.a? and when I restart the computer, it is not infected the virus again.
Another question is: when I open My Computer, select Tool ----> Folder Option. Choose the "Show hidden files and folders" option in "Hidden files and folders" and click ok. But when I select Tool ---> Folder Option again. In the "Hidden files and folders", there is the select "Do not show hidden files and folders". What happen? I think there was a virus in my other computer. My computer using windows 2003 server. And what virus in my computer? How to remove it?

I got the same proble in my pc, i downloaded combofix.exe and executed. It had sorted out the problem , Just have a try .

hello everybody,
Today I used the hirent boot cd to boot my computer in Dos mode. Then I delete file c:\winnt\linkinfo.dl. It is ok. After that I restart my computer. I used kaspersky antivirus (in other computer) scan my computer via the network. It disinfected the infected file. After repair the infected file (*.exe program file) by delete them and copy another file again. Finally, I reboot my computer and scan it again. The result is no virus win32.Alman.a  discover. So this is my solution. Thank you for reading.
