How do you make MMC snap ins in VB.NET?

I found an example from CodeProject for C, but then I read that there are some specific .NET interfaces you can use to help you implement the snap in properly. They all link to the same, broken website. This guy asks the same question, but the expert's link is no longer available:

Anybody know how to implement MMC Snap-Ins using VB.NET, WITHOUT using ATL, since that is depricated now?
