we just got Direct tv on demand and in order for it to work I need to connect it to the internet
We have 5 computers 3 or wireless, we just received direct tv on demand and we are trying to connect , it will connect but will not connect to the internet, could it be the Mcafee wireless security that has a key,

On our network we do see the wireless Access point but it shows it as off line.

so which one are you connecting to ? The linksys ?
start by rebooting it. See if it shows as online and gets an IP address.

netgear is the router and linksey is a wireless access point it is shown as off line and it does have an ip address

NOW I have so many problems it is not funny I gave up on trying to get the direct tv on demand one of my computers has a a win API FUNCTION FAILED two of the lap tops can not go to the internet it says the wireless is connected but it will not go on
