UPS Worlship running over a VPN offsite

Can someone tell me if it is possible to run UPS worlship over a VPN offsite? There is an option to run it in a client server mode over a lan...but I am not sure about the VPN. If so, please give brief description of how it is done

I don't use Worldship, however -- most things that run in client/server will run over a VPN as long as they can get DNS Resolution thru the VPN.

The basic idea would be that the remote machine just has to be able to find the correct endpoint machines on the other end of the VPN Tunnel.
