Hi whenever I open a new IE window (lauch it from the shortcut next to the start menu) it opens up maxamized (takes the full screen). However if I have a page open and I see a hyperlink on that page that I am interested in, but dont want to navigate away from my original page, I right click the hyperlink , and I press "open in new window" but that 2nd window opens up and it isnt the full size-  so the page opens minimized.

How can I get it to also open up maxamized?

Things I have done to try to resolve:
right click IE (next to start menu) and click properties, changed "run" to "maxamized" (this fixed my problem before whenever I opened IE and it wasnt full screen- since I changed it to maxamized, that now makes the pages open in full screen)

Hello kate_nelson2001,

Click on a link to open a second browser window. Drag the corners of the new window to full screen. Do not hit the maximum icon. Close the first browser first, second browser second.
Or
Modify the registry key HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\FullScreen REG_SZ to "yes".

Opening Internet Explorer Full Size

Hope this helps!
