From your server running certificate services

open snap-in "certificates"...open as "computer account" and choose "local computer"
expand certificates,
expand personal, and click on certificates
You should see your cert on the right
right click your cert
all task,
export,

you probably want to choose export the private key
you probably want to make sure you do Not choose "Delete the private key"

Then most likely you are trying to export it from the wrong place
verify you are clicking exactly as posted above.
