Hi, I have an MSL2024 tape library. I use backup exec 10D on windows server 2003.

Can you please clarify how to quickly restore data from a rape after scanning the tape without looking for the backup job that performed the backup originally?

Hi,

can you clarify if you have done a full backup or if it is incremental?

If you have performed a full backup, you import the tape, right hand click on it and select restore and then drill down the directories in the Selection list until you have the files/directory you want to restore and then click run now.
