I have Office 2003 installed on my PC and use Outlook 2003 for my e-mails, it is a standard account (account email@example.com) and is not on an exchange server.
The 'remember password' is highlighted in the e-mail account but for some reason, every time i try to send mail, it asks for account name and password.
If you have not found a PAB file, I am almost sure when you rebuilt, you did not save or it corrupted the correct files to keep them. One note though, it is a hidden file, make sure you set your options
