Outlook 2003 keeps asking for password even when it is ticked in e-mail account

I have Office 2003 installed on my PC and use Outlook 2003 for my e-mails, it is a standard account (account name@sky.com) and is not on an exchange server.
The 'remember password' is highlighted in the e-mail account but for some reason, every time i try to send mail, it asks for account name and password.
Any ideas??

If you have not found a PAB file, I am almost sure when you rebuilt, you did not save or it corrupted the correct files to keep them.  One note though, it is a hidden file, make sure you set your options to view hidden and system files.

Thanks, it worked!
However I now have a second question, I have had to rebuild PC due to a virus attack.
Outlook is now working and I have retrieved my pst files and archives, so I have my mail, unfortunately I have no contacts in my address book, I have looked for PAB files WAB files with no success.
Could you help?

Your original answer solved the main problem, I found my address book one the pst file was updated correctly.
