Is it possible to convert pst to WAB in order to import a contacts list from Outlook 2007 to Outlook 6?

PST contains your messages and contacts. Use the export to a file option to export contacts to a comma delimited file. This can be imported into any mail program.

Yeah. Unfortunately, I put the pst (and dbx) files on a disk when I left my last job up in the North and now I'm home with Outlook 6. Guess I am done for, huh, doc? I need a file conversion programme that separates the data in the pst and exports it in OE6 formats. Not my area... Ho-hummm. Shoulda kept a hand-written paper address book!!

Thanks anyway.

Hello Rory,

PST file is Microsoft proprietary.  Find a friend with Outlook on his or her computer and open the PST file. Then save the contacts as comma, separated value (CSV) format.  Outlook Express can import a CSV file into Address Book.

Hope this helps!

Not necessarily a dead end. Happy to extract the contact data for you if you don't have Outlook available. If you would like me to extract the data for you email me and I will provide an upload location where you can post your file. Of course, if the information in the file is sensitive, then this might not be an option for you. Email on my profile, just click my user name above.
