One of our clients is having a problem with the webserver crashing around 03:10 in the morning every day.
the error reported in the event viewer is the one listed below?
"Volume Shadow Copy Service error: Unexpected error WaitForMultipleObjects(1,0076C238,1,120000) == 0x00000102.  hr = 0x8000ffff."

We had a problem a while back with a device, \Device\Scsi\adpu160m1, did not respond within the time
What does the above message in the event logs mean? And what can be done to
correct it?

I was wondering if the two are related?

I have seen Volume Shadow Copy errors that actually were resolved by re-running the Configure Backup tool within Server Management. You had to delete the ShadowCopyVolume and the Backup Small Business Server entries in the Scheduled tasks folder. These are re-created when running the Configure Backup Tool.

The specific error you outline is not the error I have seen, however it could be worth a try.

I will give that a try, is there anything else we could try out?
At the moment we have stopped the backup jobs from running to see if that does anything.

Is your message refering to NT backup as we use a piece of software called Yosemite?

Yes, it was specific to the backup scheduled task created by NTBackUp.

Run the following from the command line on the server experiancing the difficulties;
