ATT Phone error while syncing with exchange

I was able to send and receive e-mails fine and now I get an error that tells me that there is an error while syncing.  It is an att phone and we have an exchange server none of the settings on the phone have changed and other than windows updates nothing has changed on the exchange server. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated

I used to encounter a problem like that occasionally... have you shut off the phone completely and turned it back on?  That always worked for me...
