Import Contact group to Global Address List

Not too sure if this is possible but, I have 2 distribution lists, created by a user within outlook 2007.  I want to take these two groups and add them to the exchange global list.  To do this manually will take a good deal of time as they are quite large.  Is there any easy way to import a "personal" list into the global?  And if so, is it safe to assume that each person on the global list will need a contact set up in AD?

Not one that's built into Outlook or Exchange.  You could do it with a bit of scripting though.
