I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Hello cmusic,

With Outlook close, run this command:  Go to Start > Run box, and type

outlook /resetfolders

and hit OK to apply.

Hope this helps!

are you on a domain environment, or is this a standalone pc?

If it's a domain, I'd say that the particular PC's mail profile is corrupt.  Under XP.. Control Panel.. Mail, you can delete the profile and then start Outlook again.  Make sure you have the relevant details to recreate your profile.

If you use Exchange, you'll need to select Microsoft Exchange Server on one of the first screens of the setup wizard, and then enter the Exchange Server name, and your login name for it to finish.
