I'm trying to create a new knowledge base for the helpdesk at my company. Our existing one is based in Lotus notes and our new one will be based in HEAT. Currently, there are 4 databases in Lotus - some articles with pictures embedded. I want to know if there is an easy way to get all the pictures from all the DB's and have them save as individual files to a location that I can specify. Doing it one by one is very very time consuming.

Thanks!

Rich text and embedded pictures are very hard to export. Easiest way: set up an HTTP server and create a web interface to your database(s). The Domino HTTP server will convert documents practically for free. My only hope is that HEAT can import pages from a website.

Why the move to HEAT, if I may ask? Just interested...

We've just started using HEAT as our call logging system. We're going to integrate it with our cisco phones. Lotus was our tracking system before - hence the move.

I'll give that a try and if im stuggling, I'll grab one of our sysadmin's to help out.
Thanks!

I should be sleeping, but we just won a volleyball match. If HEAT has an external interface, you could use a connector, or create one, to keep both systems alive. There are many ways to connetc from/to Notes: COM, ODBC, NotesSQL, Oracle connector, SAP connector, DECS, LEI, you name it.

If the grabbing doesn't work, please invite me. I'd really fancy a trip to Australia... :-))
