I have to find some information on the printers in the company.
I need to find
1) The installation date
2) Total pages printed

Thanks to Experts Exchange, I've found how how to find the install date of HP Printers from the ServiceID.
Now, I have to work with some Lexmark printers - T622, T632 and T640
I can't figure out how to get the installation date of these printers.
Also, the T622 seems to have no printing statistics - is there a way around this?

Thanks

I don't know the T622 directly, but I'd be extremely surprised if it could not tell you the number of pages printed. Try printing a configuration page from the front panel Menu under Utilities > Print Menus. Alternatively, point your browser at the printer's IP address. Both of these will list the page count.

As a last resort, printer management s/w like HP's WebJetAdmin or Xerox' CentreWare Web will tell you the page count along with lots of other things. Both are free to download. I prefer CWW over WJA because the user interface is much cleaner, but both will do about the same. Installing software like this is also useful for ongoing printer management: to keep track of the amount of printin done, to get email alerts when printers have problems, etc.

As for the installation date, lots of printers don't know that. If the T622 does, the methods I listed above will show it, somewhere.

I had tried both those methods to get the page count. Didn't work. I too was extermely surprised!
The other Lexmark printers had the printer configuration printed, and on the web page.

Will have a look at the software you mentioned, and post back here.
Thanks
