Hi all,

I am using a Wamp server 2.0 version to host my website.

My website is one of the easy made using a nice software called WebSite X5 www.WesiteX5.com

The website allow the creation  of an ecommence online shop and from what i read from the WebSitex5 Tutorial the coding and languaged used are HTML and PHP.

The issue is that I can easly host the web site on my server using my Domain www.technopc.eu

It is succesfully hosted but doesn't work how should be.

Basically the email notification doesn't work when a order is made. According to the WebSitex5 tutorial this an issue related to the PHP Server that need to be configured to use mails from my Echange server installed on another server.

How shall I configure the php server Wamp 2.0 to use emails to make sure that when order is executed emails are sent out? What do i need to configure in the Wamp Server 2.0 the php file (php.ini) or maybe something need to be changed on the Conf file of the Apache server that is part of the Wamp Server 2.0.

I can provide any kind of info the website www.technopc.eu is not running at the moment because i put the wamp server offline but i put it online if you want. I just prefer to keep offline the wamp server because i am testing at the moment.

Please feel free to ask any question and hope anyone can direct me to the right path to solve the issue.

Hello,
you need to configure PHP to tell it where it can submit emails for delivery. Since you say that you are using Microsoft Exchange, you first need to make sure its SMTP service is running (most likely it is).

Next, you need to edit your php.ini and find the '[mail function]' section. It should say:
SMTP = localhost
smtp_port = 25

where you replace 'localhost' with the hostname or IP address of your exchange server.

Hope this helps,
Christophe
