Domain Replication, DNS and Userv errors! Cross Network Crashing.
OK, I have a on going issue with my network. Every now and again, sometimes once a day sometimes once a week, the entire network seems to crash. The two domain controllers dont seem to replicate, and logging into one of them to resolve the issue takes forever! The only way to "fix" this and get people back on the network is to reboot the Catalog Server.
I have done many different "Fixes" including cleaning up DNS removing references to and old DC that does not exist, as well as http://support.microsoft.com/kb/842804 as there are many userv errors (1030 and 1038).
However the servers still do this intermittently. Does this sound like a dns issue? Could an old DC that no longer exist be causing issues by still being referenced somewhere?
I have ruled out hardware. I reseated everything, and checked all logs for hardware issues. No lights on any of the boards either.
Thanks in advance.
