Slowness Copying Files from File Server to Clients.

Hi,

We have just commissioned a new file server [2k3 r2] onto our domain as of last night, . Migration of files from the old file server on new file server went fine, no problems. Our only issue this morning is copying file from the new file  server to any client on the domain is very , very slow, taking about 3 mins to copy down a 3MB file.

The strange thing is if I copy a file from the client and want to paste it onto the new file server the transfer is instant (as it should be)

I've checked out dns config and all looks Ok, nslookup working both ways

I cant see what's causing this problem,

can anyone help?

Occam's razor !

All other things being equal, the simplest solution is the best

It was the netowrk cable.........squashed in the middle, replaced it and all is well.
