I need to update a powerpoint presentation whilst running from an excel workbook
Hi, I have an excel workbook that i have copied and pastied special into powerpoint.
When i make adjustment in excel, it auto updates powerpoint. Which is what i want it to do.
I have a twin video card displaying to a second monitor in stores with a job list. This runs the presentation with multiple slides
Problem is, when i run powerpoint in presentation mode, it doesn't auto update the presentation, unless i close it and restart it.
I would like it, so that i can have the presentation auto start when i turn the pc on, which i will do by putting it into startup in programs. But i would then like it to auto update it, as the day goes on.
Any ideas ?

PowerShow won't help with the lock-up problem. Try changing your dual monitor setup.

hi glennashaw
the addin worked a treat. I've read through
http://www.accelerating.org/articles/beyondpresenterview.html
it doesn't have any info in regards to my problem, I've read through it 4 times to make sure i'm not being stupid. Can you prove me wrong and make me look stupid ?
it goes on about duel display, etc. even mentions not to move the mouse on to the second screen. But nothing about having not stop when you open another program.

Is this how you have your monitors setup already?

yes it is. main screen for every day use (outlook, excel, etc)
second screen, running on a duel video output setup as extended desktop.
I've got to the point of running the slide show on the second screen as a powerpoint show. with nothing on primary screen. show loops as required. Go to open say outlook or excel and the loop stops. It stays on slide that its on at the time.
click back on to show on start bar and it starts up. I need it to keep running when i'm using other programs on primary screen

Just in case, you might want to click on Help, Detect & Repair from within PowerPoint.

On another note, if you don't mind helping. I've just discovered. That when the presentation is running and looping. When i open say outlook, it stops the presentation on the second screen. I've found this software that may resolve it. Do you now of any cheaper or free ?
