How to deploy a vmware image (vmx or OVA)to a physical PC

I have Vmware workstation and I created a vista sp1 image using vmware(.vmx file). Is it possible to deploy this Image to a physical PC.

You normally can't do this but you can use a product such as Norton Ghost to image the virtual machine guest OS and restore to physical hardware using the restore anywhere feature

Finally figured it out. You can use VM ware to create a universal Image

1. configure the /vmware image will al necessary software
2. Copy drivers to a folder called D
3. execte setdevicepath.exe c:\d
3b. delete pnf drivers
4. set the vmware>setting>>>bios config to boot fromcd
5. Put in a bootable acronis backup and deploy
