We have a fresh build of windows server 2008 with GUI.
We've got Hyper V manager running under server manager fine with a couple of VM's - however we need to perform a P2V so need to install SCVMM.
We've passed all the prerequisites and in the final installation step at Virtual Machine Manager Server we get the following error:

"Unable to perform the job because one or more of the selected objects are locked by another job

To find out which job is locking the object, in the Jobs view, group by Status, and find the running or cancelling job for the object. When the job is complete, try again."

However we cannot see any way to get the jobs view until SCVMM is installed..

We've tried unstalling, restarting the server, the reinstalling.
We've also tried stopping the Hyper-V services, but the error persists.

I managed to install this at last...

The RTM version of SCVMM was released today so having completely uninstalled the Beta 2 version using Remove Data (previously had been selecting Retain Data), and installed the RTM version the installation succeeded.
