Kaspersky antivirus 6.0 is not Updating, gives avp.exe - apllication error

when ever i try to update Kaspersky antivirus 6.0 windows workstation. it would not update and it gives an error (AVP.exe -Application error--- the instruction at "0x100145a1" referenced memory at "0x49001b38" the memory could not be "read". click on OK to terminate ) i tried to repair the kaspersky antivirus and checked all the proxy settings, then also same.
