Any issues with running MS SQL Server 05 & SQL Server Embedded on the same box?

I have SharePoint running on a Windows 2003 server with SP2. I'm using the Share Point Services that are available from Microsoft's web site. Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe that this particular version of SP uses MS SQL Server Embedded instead of Express? I see no SQL manager app. By looking at the system you wouldn't know SQL was even installed unless you viewed the logs.

I now have to install another application onto the same box that will required MS SQL Server 2005 Std. Are there any issues I need to be aware of by installing both on the same machine? I'm a complete noob when it comes to SP and SQL Server and I don't want to hose my current setup.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

no, they will just be different instances. i.e. you will connect to one via the "machine name" (default instance) and one to the "machine name\instance name"

J Carter: That answered my question. I plan to perform this install in the next day or two. Thank you for the help.
