Move domain on 2000 and XP workstations using NETDOM

I am currently using netdom from an XP cd, however this command does not work with windows 2000 clients.

I only want 1 BAT script, is there a method to detect windows OS version, then run the correct netdom for windows 2000?

Also, do you have the correct syntax for windows 2000?, XP one I'm using is below.

Changing from one domain to another domain. (Has to be done client side, not remotely)


netdom move %computername% /domain:NEW /UserD:USERNAME /PasswordD:PASSWORD

You can download the correct version, NETDOM 2.0, from here:

http://www.dynawell.com/download/reskit/microsoft/win2000/netdom.zip

This batch file will help you to determine the client OS version.
