Hi, I just purchased CW CS4 and upgraded from CS3. I would like to know if any of you know if it is possible to test classic ASP pages . (.asp) on this environment . To preview them before putting them on IIS www root folder live and have a similar behavior.

not sure I understand your question, but here is a good article from Adobe on setting up an ASP development environment.

You need to have an application server to run the ASP scripts (i.e. IIS). So your answer is no. The most common solution would be to have a separate "Development Server" to use for testing. Dreamweaver has  the ability to integrate that into your development process using the files tab/ manage sites.
