Can't open shortcuts to files or folders with pc name in the path over VPN.
If I define the shortcut on my desktop like below it will not open over the Cisco VPN client it does however work fine in the domain environment. I have to change it to the ip path not the UNC and it will work.
"\\PC30\Company\IT Department\Phone Support Calls" (Does not Work)
"\\10.3.10.2\Company\IT Department\Phone Support Calls" (Works)
\\TERA4\Backups (Does not Work)
\\10.3.10.1\Backups (Works)
"\\PC30\Company\IT Department\Phone Support Calls" (Does not Work)
"\\10.3.10.2\Company\IT Department\Phone Support Calls" (Works)
\\TERA4\Backups (Does not Work)
\\10.3.10.1\Backups (Works)
Create a host record in the dns server for these entries
PC30 - 10.3.10.2
TERA4 - 10.3.10.1
PC30 - 10.3.10.2
TERA4 - 10.3.10.1
make sure that you set properly what you are returnig as config to your EASY VPN clients...
I think, you can't resolve anything corporate by fgdn when you are in VPN...
