I use firebird database engine and IBtable and DBNavigator to access to and edit tables,
but after I click the "Save" button on the DBnavigator nothing is written to database, how can I make the application write to database directly after I click Save on DBNavigator?

I assume you have a DBsource and IBtable components between dbnavigator and database Source

since you use  Firebird You need to drop an IBtransaction component from Interbase tab

for the DBnavigator onclick event write this code to push the updated data to physical database

IBtransaction1.commit;  {this will close the table as default}
//if you are using IBtable add this line too
IBtable1.active:=true;

You can see the database file updated with the new commit  ;-)
