Problem with Driver for Sun StorageTek L180

Hi there

I've got a problem setting up a StorageTek L180 on a Win2003 Server.

After installing the Driver (Downloaded from Sun, DriverPackage Version 1.1.2.2 for Win2003) the Tape Library is recognized by the Server but in the Device Manager there is still an exclamation mark saying that there is something wrong!
I tried searching for another driver, but can't find a newer one than the one already downloaded (check Picture for exact driver version from device manager).
The Library is connected to an Adaptec RAID 2230SLP 128 MB PCI-X.
The 3 Drives in the L180 are recognized perfectly(1 Seagate Ultrium3- and 2 HP Ultrium 3-Tapes), it's just this "error" that i don't know what it could be!

Hopefully someone can help me?

Thanks a lot
Regards
Marcel

Hi dovidmichel

Thank you very much for your answer. I've never thought that this could be a problem!
I will check with Adaptec Support and come back on this topic as soon as I've got an answer.

Kind regards

To admin: Can you please leave this thread open until I'm coming back with more information?
Many thanks
Marcel
Hi dovidmichel

I checked with Adaptec this morning (sent a support question) but unfortunately there was no response until now.
In the meantime I tried connecting the Library to the Onboard SCSI Controller of the Server.
This way it is working fine!
Thanks very much for your input and giving me a hint to think about other possibilities.

Regards
Marcel
