REV Drive on SBS 2003 SP2 --> uninstall fails, install fails and REV is read only

Hi,

A REV device is installed on a SBS 2003. The device went to UDF file system instead of REV UDF. I tried to uninstall and reinstall the REV System Software with no luck.

When uninstalling I get an error message such has 'you have made changes that need to restart your computer. restart and run setup again' and same thing when trying to install ...

I received a procedure from Iomega help (removing iomega at startup, shell extensions, folders, services ...) that I followed .. didn't change the fact that I can't install or reinstall the software.

Any help would be appreciated.

Have you tried "AutoRuns" from Sysinternals to pick any Iomega parts out of the startup area?

You may be looking at a trip through REGEDIT and the F3 key to find all the instances of IOMEGA (after you backup the registry, of course).

the software is not starting in any way anymore.

I guess I will have to clean manually the registry ...  I thought I could find some kind of 'universal iomega rev uninstaller' ...

Regit / Search / F3 / lather-rinse-repeat is the only way I've found to do it. Sorry.
