hi experts,

how can I Grant access to remote IP address lets say (33.33.33.33) to mysql ?

Try the code above..

but, y ou must insure that you have port 3306 open in firewall and / or router..



#mysql -u root -p mysql
 
mysql> GRANT ALL ON foo.* TO bar@'33.33.33.33' IDENTIFIED BY 'PASSWORD';
 
mysql> update db set Host='33.33.33.33' where Db='webdb';
 
mysql> update user set Host='33.33.33.33' where user='webadmin';
 
mysql> exit
