Hi guys,
Im running Windows XP with IE 7, and just wanted some help disabling the prompt you get when downloading files.

I have tried the solution: MyComputer - Tools - Folder Options - File Types - Unchecking Confirm open after download - saved changes, restarted computer, but the prompt still appears
But this is not working.

Any help greatly appreciated

Hello Simon336697,

Please verify that you scroll down to the type of file that you want to change.  For example, if you download a .DOC, scroll down in File Types to .DOC extension and make the change.

Also, verify that after selection OK to apply, you have rebooted the computer.

If no joy, go to Tools > Internet Options > Security tab, enable 'Launching applications and
unsafe files'.

Hope this helps!
