Changing directory services restore mode password

I need to restore active directory and the password for directory services restore mode is 'blank'.  I am using backup exec for backups but it does not support blank passwords for user accounts.  Is there anyway to change the directory services password or get around the backup exec password problem?

I also read you can't perform these steps when you are booted into DSRM.  I can only boot into the DSRM mode

I figured out how to change it.
cntech,
How did you reset the password? I have the same issue when I execute the reset passwor on server null:

WIN32 Error Code: 0x32
Error Message: The request is not supported.
RishMaster, (really more for anyone else who experiences this because this post is so old) To reset the password you can not be in DSRM mode.
