Inbox subfolders are empty. Are the contents recoverable?

User has Auto-Archive setup. Inbox is setup with subfolders that are now empty

Hello,

If your Auto-Archive feature was correctly set then you could retrieve all your email.
* Open Outlook & go to the sub folder>Right Click>Auto Archive Tab> and check if the settings point to "Archive items in this folder using the default settings"
If the above option is selected then go to the PST file and map it to your profile.

You could also try and search for "*.pst" on your computer and add it to your Outlook profile & then browse to check it the subfolders are present and if yes then check for the emails which are missing.

Thank you. Even though it did not directly solve my problem, it did give me a deeper understanding on outlook archive.
