User on Microsoft Outlook 2003 using SBS 2003 with POP3 Connector and Exchange - Sends .dat file as Email

Hello Experts -

A client of mine has a fairly basic setup.... SBS 2003 R2 server using POP3 Connector which pulls mails from a godaddy server into Exchange.

He is getting responses from users that he sends mail to that his attachments are showing up as a .dat file. I tried to configure his outlook to send mail using RTF instead of HTML but still happening.

Any tips?
