Hi,

This is for an exchange account.

I am having a little trouble sending as a distribution group in entourage. My company has a distribution group we want to send messages to clients from (to save licenses, we don't want to make it a user). In Outlook '07 on Vista, we can "Send As" fine, and the email comes through with the "From" as "Distribution Group Name". HOWEVER, when I send the email from Entourage, it shows "From" as "Distribution Group Name (sent by ...)". In other words, it seems Entourage is adding a sent by or sent from tag.

I have added "Distribution Group Name" as a "User I am a delegate for" under account settings.

Basically, my question is: is there a way to get rid of the "(sent by ...)" tag in Entourage 2008?

I can upload screen shots of the two different emails if need be.

No, i believe that is by design for Entourage. When you 'send as' someone using Entourage, both names show up. Outlook as you know you can do this easily as long as the AD permissions are configured correctly to 'send as' as opposed to send on behalf of. Maybe instead of using a dl, use a generic account, and have people use that to send. For Entourage, you would have to create a second seperate Exchange account
