Need help removing duplicate authorized DHCP server

after transferring the DHCP role from a W2K server to a W2K3 server it seems that the W2K server is an unathorized DHCP server.
I have tried many sugessions like the cmd prompt (delete server) but a message appears "DHCP delete server failed Error = The specified servers are not present in the directory service."
I had to manually delete the server under CN=netservices
but it still shows up within the authorised dhcp servers. how do i clean up this?

You may want to stop the service on that box or uninstall DHCP server as a server role.

The above has been carried out yet it still exists as an autorised server
