Message pending submission que building up restart server?

I have about 600 messages in the que of messages pending submission if I force connection it goes down a little bit but then will build back up.  If I restart the server would that help this problem, or would those messages pending submission be lost if the server is restarted?  thanks

Don't restart the server.  Stop and restart the exchange services first.  I would also look into the logs and see what type of errors you are getting that are keeping the messages from transmitting.  If you have errors post em...

I provided an answer to the question letting him know the best steps to proceed are to start with a service restart then research the logs.

we did not restart the server, but did re start the services, and are in the process of checking the logs for the issues of why this is occuring, thank you.
