Hello,

RSExplorer is not meant as a "tool to extract RDL files" from the reporting server.  It's a sample application that shows how you can use the Reporting Services web service, I have some more explanation on my blog here: http://blog.hoegaerden.be/2008/08/03/diy-alternative-reporting-services-client/

Additional info on RSExplorer is of course also available on the Microsoft website: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms161548(SQL.90).aspx

Now, as for retrieving the reports from your existing reporting server, you can use the Report Manager web app (http://YOUR_SERVER/Reports) to download them. When you're browsing your reports there's a Details button on the right of the controls banner.  Click this and you get more buttons next to your reports.  One of them is Edit.  Click that one next to the report that you want to download.  This opens the report's details.  One of the options in that screen is to download (or edit?) your report.  This gets you the RDL file (this is from what I have in memory, I don't have a server here to double-check everything that I just typed so I hope I have the locations correct.)

Hope this helps.
