Display data from SQL to Flash via ASP.NET2.0(C#)

Hi All
I i know how to insert data into MSSQL from Flash via ASP.NET but I don't have the same luck in selecting data from SQL and displaying it in Flash via ASP.NET. I don't want to first make the data from SQL -->ASP.NET-->XML(dataset or anything else XML)-->Flashwould like it form SQL-->ASP.NET -->XML. I have searched the web entirely but can't find a simple example although with old ASP there are. So basically if anyone could just provide a simple exaple that a selects data from SQL and displays it in Flash via ASP.NET.(without any XML workaround)

I am currently based in Johannesburg. This is frustating. I once converted an ASP tutorial(from www.Flash-db.com to it's .NET equivlent and it ouputs all the info fine when testing in a browser page but the when trying to pull it via flash nothing appears. I'm really desperate here?
you're using LoadVars.sendAndLoad()?

if you look at the snippet from the help file. you should be able to get your values back into the loadVars objet specified as the target from your asp / aspx page.
var submitListener:Object = new Object();
submitListener.click = function(evt:Object) {
    var result_lv:LoadVars = new LoadVars();
    result_lv.onLoad = function(success:Boolean) {
        if (success) {
            result_ta.text = result_lv.welcomeMessage;
        } else {
            result_ta.text = "Error connecting to server.";
    var send_lv:LoadVars = new LoadVars();
    send_lv.name = name_ti.text;
    send_lv.sendAndLoad("http://www.flash-mx.com/mm/greeting.cfm", result_lv, "POST");
submit_button.addEventListener("click", submitListener);
