Data Protection Server not connecting.

I have a Data Protection Manager from Dell that I am trying to deploy at a clients site. I am trying to connect this to a couple of servers to replace the current backups which are not working well.
Server1 - Primary Domain controller and File Server
Server2 - Domain Controller and Exchange Server ( I know about running AD on an Exchange Server, the machine was inherited)
Both servers are running Backup Exec for current backups, and I dont know if that is causing the issue. Also it should be known that I have installed/uninstalled the Data Protection Manager several times and still cannot get them to display on the Agents tab in the management section of the DPM2007 Console.
